JEDI VITA Yreka Drop Off and Pick Up
The Yreka JEDI VITA/TCE site is located at: 810 N. Oregon in the Community Center
Open Fridays through April 11th, 9am-2pm by appointment.
You will need to schedule, two appointments, the first for Drop Off (please allow about 45 minutes) and another on a following Friday for Pick Up (please allow 15 minutes).

You can pick up an Intake Packet at any Community Resource Center, library branch, the Mount Shasta JEDI office, or download one here.
You will need all the documents listed in “What You Need to Have Your Taxes Prepared” here on the website.
At the Intake appointment, volunteers go over the Intake forms, verify your identity, social security number, scan the tax documents and return them to you. The return is prepared remotely and is ready the following Friday. You will be called to review the return over the phone when it is ready and during the preparation, if more information is needed
When you receive a call:
Volunteer identifies themselves and their name will be on a list given to you in the Intake Packet
You will be asked to identify yourself with your date of birth and the last four digits of your social security number
At your Pick Up appointment, we will provide a copy of the tax return and get your signature on the e-File Authorization Form 8879. Taxpayer and spouse (if applicable) must both be present and sign.
Your return can then be e-filed.

En la cita de admisión, los voluntarios revisan los formularios de admisión, verifican su identidad, número de seguro social, escanean los documentos tributarios y se los devuelven. La vuelta se prepara de forma remota y está lista el viernes siguiente. Se le llamará para revisar la declaración por teléfono cuando esté lista y durante la preparación, si se necesita más información.
Cuando recibe una llamada:
El voluntario se identifica y su nombre estará en una lista que se le entregará en el paquete de admisión.
Se le pedirá que se identifique con su fecha de nacimiento y los últimos cuatro dígitos de su número de seguro social.
En su cita de recogida, le proporcionaremos una copia de la declaración de impuestos y obtendremos su firma en el Formulario de autorización de presentación electrónica 8879. El contribuyente y su cónyuge (si corresponde) deben estar presentes y firmar.
Luego, su declaración se puede presentar electrónicamente.
