IRS Direct File
You may have heard the IRS is piloting a new, free direct file option. This pilot program is an important step in making tax filing easier for everyone. However, it is important to note that at this time, California residents will still need to file a separate state return if they choose to try the pilot direct file option. If you qualify for the pilot program but are not sure you want to use the service, come to VITA at JEDI and we may be able to assist you to file federal and state returns.
